Love books, but hate the outrageous prices?
April 27, 2008 at 2:09 pm | In Words from Hal | 1 CommentHere at BookMark we have the solution. Just check our prices against anyone around, and you will see the difference.
For example, The Secret, by Byrne, is $17.50 here, and when you return it, you receive nine dollars credit toward another purchase. Pulitzer Prize winner The Cigarette Century, retails for 35 dollars. Here, you pay only $18.00 and again, get nine dollars credit when you return it. Hey, don’t let snobbery get in the way of a good bargain, especially these days, when money is getting tighter. Pick up your copy of The Kite Runner for only $12.50, and we have copies of The Birds of Panama for as low as 32 dollars. Check first at the BookMark, always
And best of all, for real bargain hunters, our BookStall is open out front. All books are 50 cents or One Dollar. Nada Mas! We are here for your reading pleasure. And we usually do have those old titles you are always looking for, at prices you can afford. We have been here for ten years. Experience counts, believe it!
New Books and New Shelves

I have just ordered five of the Pulitzer Prize books, so will have them, hopefully, yet this month.
Listening to the cries of customers for Coffee books, I have ordered, and am expecting, about 40 books, everything from Roasting, growing, Fair Trade, international politics…you name it, if it’s about coffee, I’m going to have it (also, if it’s under a hundred dollars) The big, expensive coffee books, you will have to order, like Wintgens “Coffee:Growing, Processing, Sustainable Production” will be available in August at $395.00. Books will be shelved just below the Orchid books.
Next big news, and the best, is that I am installing Left Bank of the Seine open bookshelves out on the front porch, with most or all of the books priced at fifty cents (one peso) and one dollar (one balboa), Great bargains, easy browsing, shelves should be finished before end of month….he says. Soon, anyhow.
For those of you who have asked me to get books and you have forgotten, Please remind yourselves that I now have copies of Epicenter by Rosenberg. The Ugly Americans by Mezrich, about busting the banks in Asia, several Zollinger novels, a Cuna Cosmology book, Five People You meet in Heaven, Conversations with God 3, Love in the Time of Cholera, and on and on. Also, I did find a copy of the Koran, and several Cleary books, including Ramona the Pest. Hope you can find this site….I hate the new format of Boquete. org, don’t you? Hal De Mun
